Contesting her first final in nine months, the 20-year-old dropped just four games against the unseeded Muchova as she sealed a 6-1 6-3 victory in just one hour and 16 minutes.
It marked Gauffâs eighth career title and her first since she defeated Elina Svitolina in Auckland back in January.
Gauff, the world number six, also became the the first player in the Open era to triumph in her first seven WTA hard-court finals.
The triumph comes after Gauff ended her partnership with Brad Gilbert in the wake of her fourth-round exit at the US Open last month.
The American, now working under new coach Matt Daly, will return to action in the Wuhan Open which gets underway on Monday.
"I lost to her three times in a row," Muchova said.
"I'll say, very similar losses. I lost them all the same way. It was always the latest rounds of the tournaments when I got many matches under the belt. It's very physical with her. I felt like the second one always in the rallies."
