Hwende argued he was the more complete fighter of the two.

''I'd say Nkosi is one dimensional and I am a dynamic striker, I am a wrestler - in fact I am the champion. I would say I am better than Nkosi, so fans should tune in to see this one. I will be a champion, there's no two ways about it. You will see what it is to be a MMA athlete, you will see some techniques that you once saw on the movies that it is possible to do those moves, It is going to be an awesome fight,'' said Hwende.

While Nkosi is considered one of the most lethal in Brave Combat, his challenger pointed out he was in the best shape of his career.

''Well, 2024 has been great for me because it has given me an opportunity to train as much as I can. So I would say I am in good health and I can't wait to perform at the highest level. I can say 2024 has treated me very well,'' added Hwende.

The Zimbabwean, who returns to Brave Combat for the second time this year after beating Khurshed Nazarov, is already looking ahead to the new year.

Nkosi also responded to comments made by Hwende in the build-up.

''Hwende has been doing a lot of talking. What he has promised people what he is going to do against me, is not going to happen. People should tune in for this one. I have been training hard, I have improved a lot, I have become a better version of myself,'' said Ndebele.
