Akor Adams happy at Montpellier, AC Milan show interest

Nigerian striker Akor Adams has left an indelible mark at Montpellier, sparking interest from AC Milan, who are reportedly considering a move for him.

Since his ‚¬4.5million transfer from Norwegian top-flight club Lillestrom to Ligue 1 side Montpellier last summer, the 23-year-old has not only justified the investment but has exceeded all expectations.

Adams' goal-scoring prowess has been nothing short of remarkable, finding the back of the net seven times in just 11 appearances, securing him the enviable position of second on the league's top scorers' charts, trailing only six goals behind PSG's Kylian Mbappe.

The buzz surrounding Adams has transcended borders, with AC Milan reportedly contemplating a potential acquisition. Despite these speculations, nothing concrete has materialised from the talks as of yet.

In response to the growing interest, Adams himself has expressed contentment with life at Montpellier, emphasising the exceptional treatment he has received since joining the club.

The 23-year-old striker acknowledged the love and support shown by the Montpellier community, highlighting the conducive environment that he believes is propelling his personal and professional growth.

"I am happy with my current situation and where I am. It's a good environment to grow as a young player," Adams said per Allez Paillade.

"I have everything I need here in Montpellier. I'm happy with my decision to come to a club that takes good care of me. I have a very good group around me. I am satisfied."
