Bantwana fell short in the first leg with a 3-1 defeat against the Flamingos at the Lucas Moripe Stadium last weekend.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Khumalo says the team will approach the return leg in Ikenne with a positive attitude.
“We believe we are still in the race for the World Cup spot and we still have a chance. Yes we are playing away but we still have a fair chance against Nigeria. It is a matter of not repeating the same mistakes from the first leg at home,’’ said Khumalo
Khumalo confirms a few changes to the team that lost at home last weekend, stating the importance of beefing up her attacking force with two strikers compared to their usual one.
“Yes we have made some chances. Last weekend we started with one striker, but today we will play with two strikers. We will also start with Nzuza, who started as a sub in the previous match, and we also have Rethabile Molefe who will also be in the starting line up today,’’ added Khumalo.
The coach unpacks what it will take to secure a win against the stubborn Flamingos away from home.
Saying she has confidence in her squad and believes they carry the right fighting spirit to secure a win.
“I am 100% confident in my girls, remember how they played in the second half last weekend - that is the kind of fighting spirit we will see today. We are coming with a positive attitude and we absolutely have nothing to lose,’’ expressed the coach.
