Ange Postecoglou: Tottenham players are 'giving everything'

Ange Postecoglou lauded his players' resilience following a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Fulham, despite being severely short-handed.

The team faced significant challenges with eight regular squad members unavailable, including Dominic Solanke, who fell ill overnight and was ruled out on Sunday morning.

The absence of Solanke necessitated a last-minute reorganisation of the squad, further complicating preparations for the match.

Speaking on Spurs' Review Show, Postecoglou described the players' effort as "unbelievable," praising their ability to adapt and compete under difficult circumstances.

The draw comes amid a gruelling schedule, with the team preparing for 11 matches in just 36 days. The fourth fixture in this sequence is set for Thursday night at Bournemouth, leaving little time for recovery or tactical adjustments.

Postecoglou acknowledged the physical and mental toll of the packed schedule but commended his team's determination and commitment to perform.

"We didn't find out (about Dom) until he got here, again, that's the spell we're in at the moment," he said.

"That's why I've got to give credit to these players. It's unbelievable the effort they are putting in at the moment to keep us progressing and pushing on to get us where we want to be, it's outstanding considering the challenges we're getting thrown at the moment.

"The players out there are giving everything they can. We've still got to be careful with them. That's the reason Deki didn't start today, he's hardly missed a minute of football, and we have to look after him so he's able to perform at the levels he's started at.

"It's a challenge, but the players out there are giving their all, and that's all I can ask for."
