Bantwana will go head-to-head with the Flamingoes in the second round qualifier first leg at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, before the return leg in Ikenne next weekend.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Monate says Bantwana need to be aggressive and not allow the opponent to win possession before them.
"Our girls need to be positive and not give Nigeria any respect, they need to be aggressive and play their game, but remember never to allow Nigerians to win possession before them," said Monate.
"Meaning, being the first [player] on the ball, and create and use the opportunities."
Bantwana managed to beat Gabon 21-2 on aggregate in the first round, and Monate has unpacked what this Nigerian side could potentially bring to the two-legged tie.
"They are a very determined country, they don't want to lose against South Africa, and it's a team that's been together in camp for three weeks, if I'm not mistaken, so they know each other very well," she added.
"But remember, they know that we are a very good team in terms of technical and tactical awareness, and they will come and try to harass us in our country, but I don't think that will happen this time around."
