International sports betting company 10bet recently entered the South African market in September last year and will now look to make their first footprint in football through the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations-bound national team.
The deal will see 10bet gain exposure through Bafana's road to the biennial continental showpiece in Ivory Coast next year as well as the 2025 edition for which the host nation has yet to be confirmed, while the 2026 FIFA World Cup also falls within the initial period.
"Global online sports betting and game operator 10bet South Africa is now the official betting partner of our senior national team, Bafana Bafana. It's four year deal so it's going to cover two AFCONs, going to Côte d'Ivoire and whoever gets 2025, they will also be there with us because we will be there," he said.
Jordaan, who briefly took his mind off the ongoing dispute with the senior women's national team Banyana Banyana, also touched on what made the men's team an appealing property for this new sponsorship agreement.
"Bafana Bafana as you know is an essential part of the country's lively sports culture, fan culture and if we look back to what happened in the game against Morocco, you will see one of the most loved teams in this country is Bafana Bafana," Jordaan added.
"When they perform there's nothing more that can put a big smile on the faces of fans as they celebrate and sing and dance in the stadium. So, we are very happy that 10bets is now there with our team, Bafana."
