There are 32 coaches in attendance – 16 from around the African continent, with the other half from Saudi Arabia.
The workshop aims to empower women coaches, and the initiative comes after an MOU signed last year by CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe and SAFF President Yasser Al Misehal.
''This workshop is open to all the African coaches for the national teams under CAF. So I got an invite as Banyana assistant coach. I think this is one of the ways CAF is trying to assist us with knowledge when it comes to advance coaching,'' said Mbuli.
The COSAFA region is also well-presented with coaches from Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini, Zambia and Namibia in attendance. Mbuli is hopeful she will get something from the workshop.
''What I hope to learn from this workshop is how they do things in other countries, and I know that we come from different environments - but I hope to take one or two things that I can implement when I get home,'' added Mbuli.
Mbuli is raving about the panel of coaches that have been making presentations, including Banyana Banyana coach Dr Desiree Ellis. She adds that the topics discussed are relevant to the game but as coaches they don’t talk much about them.
