Barcelona's Lamine Yamal set to recover in time for El Clasico

FC Barcelona's rising star Lamine Yamal has avoided a serious injury, despite concerns following his recent hamstring issue.

The club have confirmed that Yamal is suffering from a hamstring overload in his left thigh, but there is no major injury. While Barcelona did not specify a recovery timeline, the player's availability will depend on how the injury progresses.

Early signs suggest that Yamal could be fit in time for the highly anticipated El Clasico against Real Madrid on 26 October at the Bernabeu.

Yamal picked up the injury during Spain's 1-0 win over Denmark last Saturday. After the match, the national team's medical staff recommended that the young forward return to Barcelona for further assessment.

The club's medical team conducted tests on Monday morning, confirming the initial diagnosis of a muscle overload. Barcelona later released a statement to reassure fans that Yamal's condition wasn't serious, with no additional damage found.

Although Yamal has played every game for Barcelona this season, it is likely that he will be rested for precautionary reasons in the upcoming La Liga fixture against Sevilla.

The club will prioritise his recovery ahead of their crucial Champions League clash against Bayern Munich on 23 October and the following El Clasico.

Yamal's swift return is important for Barcelona, as the teenager has quickly become a key player in the squad. His absence, even in the short term, would be a significant loss. However, with careful management, it looks like Yamal will soon be back on the pitch.
