Barcelona are reportedly set to demand a significant fee of ¬35-40million for 21-year-old Moroccan winger Ez Abde if they are to part ways with him in the upcoming summer transfer window.
According to reports from Spanish outlet Fichajes, Barcelona are unwilling to let Abde leave on the cheap, and several Premier League clubs have shown interest in the young talent.
Abde has been with Barcelona for nearly two years after previously being an inspiring player for Hercules CF. Despite having to wait for his chance at Camp Nou, the Moroccan international has shown promise, making appearances in the 2021/22 season and impressing during his loan spell at Osasuna in the 2022/23 season.
With five goals and two assists in 26 appearances, Abde's performance levels have been steadily improving, catching the attention of Premier League clubs.
Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly one of the clubs interested in Abde, with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur also listed as potential suitors.
However, Barcelona's hefty price tag for the young winger may be a stumbling block, as Abde's contract with the Catalan giants runs until June 2026, with three years remaining on his deal. Despite recent reports suggesting that Barcelona would not be willing to sell Abde, the latest update indicates otherwise.
It remains to be seen if Premier League clubs are willing to meet Barcelona's demands of ¬35-40 million for Abde's services. The young winger's potential and contract length may make him an attractive prospect, but the price tag could be a deterrent.
Moreover, whether Barcelona will ultimately decide to part ways with Abde or not will be an intriguing development to watch.
