Despite the incident, Tuchel was upbeat about his team's future, saying that they had already moved past it. "That's settled. A game and a fine are the consequences of what happened. I didn't see it myself because I was in the coaching room. Of course, I immediately spoke to everyone involved, the players and the staff," he was quoted as saying via the iMiaSanMia twitter feed.
The incident, which stemmed from a verbal argument on the pitch, resulted in Mane being fined and left out of the squad for the draw against TSG Hoffenheim. The Senegalese's future with the club remains uncertain, with rumours of a potential summer exit.
However, Tuchel expressed confidence in the team, saying that the incident would not affect their performance going forward. "Because it concerned us and because it was a blatant incident, it was important that we clarify the matter before we start the next training session. We did that yesterday. We have cleared up everything so that we can train positively with each other again," he said.
Tuchel also stressed the importance of dealing with such incidents quickly and directly. "Getting ahead of it after it actually happened was the way I wanted to deal with it, instead of letting it marinade for a certain period of time," he said.
Despite Bayern's recent poor form and the incident between Mane and Sane, Tuchel remains optimistic about the team's future. "We have a strong squad with a lot of potential. We are confident that we can bounce back from these two poor results and have a successful season," he said.
