The Manchester City star has struggled to make an impact in recent weeks, raising questions about his role for both club and country.
Foden has not scored or assisted in the Premier League for over two months, a stark contrast to last season when he was named PFA Players' Player of the Year and Premier League Player of the Season.
His struggles playing off the left have been evident, and he has not completed 90 minutes for club or country in over a month.
Reports suggest that Foden has lost weight, leading to speculation about whether his physical condition is affecting his performances.
Although he remains a regular in Pep Guardiola's squad, his place in the team is not guaranteed, with some City players reportedly concerned about his recent displays.
Despite scoring seven goals and providing two assists in all competitions this season, Foden's overall influence has declined.
Tuchel addressed the midfielder's form after England's 2-0 win over Albania, stating that he remains an important part of his plans but must find greater consistency.
"Phil is just maybe not finding the momentum at the moment that he can have," said Tuchel.
"For Phil, it's a difficult season in the club. He comes from several weeks where he does not find the rhythm that he found last season, things are not so easy for him, so we called him up to show him our support and our love and our commitment."
