Bayern Munich teenager Paul Wanner draws attention of Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly keen on securing the services of 18-year-old attacking midfielder Paul Wanner, who is currently on loan at Heidenheim from Bayern Munich.

Valued at €15 million by Transfermarkt, Wanner has caught the eye of Dortmund officials Lars Ricken and Sebastian Kehl, who believe the German-Austrian talent is already capable of performing at Champions League level.

Dortmund have a long-standing interest in Wanner, having scouted him for years.

The club nearly signed him in 2021 before Bayern Munich intervened to block the transfer.

With his current contract at Bayern running until 2027, the Bavarians have no plans to sell the promising youngster.

However, Wanner is aware of Dortmund's interest, as the club prepare their transfer targets for the 2025/26 season.

Dortmund are considering both a permanent transfer and a loan deal as potential options to bring Wanner into their fold.

Meanwhile, other Bundesliga clubs such as Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Stuttgart are monitoring the situation closely.

These clubs may step in if key players, like Florian Wirtz or Xavi Simons, leave their respective squads.

Regarded as one of Germany's brightest footballing prospects, Wanner's future is shaping up to be a hot topic.
