Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez hints at move amid Liverpool interest

Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez has opened the door to a potential transfer, expressing his desire to play at the "highest level" amid ongoing links with Premier League giants Liverpool.

Kerkez has been one of the standout performers for Andoni Iraola's side this season, contributing two goals and five assists in 32 appearances. His stellar form has put him at the center of transfer rumors, with Liverpool reportedly among the clubs keeping a close eye on the 20-year-old left-back.

With Liverpool looking to strengthen their squad, particularly at left-back, Kerkez's impressive performances have caught the attention of manager Jurgen Klopp. The Reds have faced questions over the consistency of their current left-back options, Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas, leading to speculation about a potential summer move for Kerkez.

Speaking to The Athletic, the Hungarian international was open about the ongoing speculation linking him to Anfield. "It's not like I don't see it," Kerkez said. "When people say they don't notice things when something is said about you, I think that's a lie. It's all about how you react to it. If someone says something bad, I just focus on doing my job, and if someone says something good, I just do my job as well. That's it."

Reflecting on his ambitions, Kerkez added, "As a kid, you dream of playing at the highest level, winning trophies, and being on the best teams. These are the things my agent and my dad are working on. It's not something that I focus on right now because the season is still going, so there's no point talking about it."

Kerkez made it clear that while his future is still uncertain, his focus remains on Bournemouth's immediate goals, including a potential European qualification and the FA Cup. "There are still games left, and the FA Cup is really important for us. These are big things right now. And then, when someone comes in for you, you never know what might happen or where you might end up. In the summer, we'll see what happens," he concluded.

While Kerkez's future remains up in the air, his performances this season have certainly put him on the radar of top clubs, and come summer, the young defender could find himself with plenty of options as he seeks the next step in his career.
