CAF Confederation Cup: Marumo Gallants take on Pyramids for semi-final berth

Bahlabane Ba Ntwa come into the quarter-final encounter having managed to draw 1-1 away from home in the first leg in Cairo last week.

Ranga Chivaviro scored the crucial goal for the South African outfit in the 55th minute at 30 June Stadium.

Gallants looked set to pull off a big win as time ticked away, but their Egyptian hosts levelled matters with a penalty via Ramadan Sobhi in stoppage-time.

The Limpopo side are also entering a crucial phase of their DStv Premiership campaign as they aim to fend off the threat of relegation. They sit only two points clear of the danger zone with three games in hand.

The second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final will take place at Thohoyandou Stadium.
