The 31-year-old Danish midfielder, who joined United on a free transfer two years ago, has shown his quality this season, contributing four goals and three assists across 13 appearances, nine of which were starts.
However, with his contract set to expire next summer, Eriksen has yet to discuss his long-term prospects with the club's new head coach, Ruben Amorim.
"I haven't focused on it yet, and I haven't heard anything from the club," Eriksen said ahead of Denmark's Nations League match against Spain.
"Right now it's just about football, and then we have to see where we stand in January and for that matter in the summer.
"As a footballer, you just turn up and train, and then it is the coach who decides the team at the weekend. I have not set my hopes or expectations. It belongs to football."
Eriksen was reportedly available for transfer during the recent window but opted to see out his final contract year at Old Trafford.
Although Ajax and Anderlecht showed interest, United remained open to offers as Erik ten Hag aimed to reshape the midfield.
Since then, competition has only intensified with the arrivals of Mason Mount and Manuel Ugarte, as well as the emergence of academy star Kobbie Mainoo.
Casemiro and Ugarte's strong partnership over recent games has also limited Eriksen's minutes.
While his performances have helped him earn first-team exposure this season, the returns of Mount and Mainoo could push him further down the pecking order.
With Amorim planning a new system for United, Eriksen hopes to play a role in the club's future but faces an uncertain path as midfield options expand.
