Daniel Farke expects Gladbach striker Marcus Thuram back for Augsburg clash

Gladbach forward Marcus Thuram returns from injury to face Augsburg on Wednesday.

Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram is expected to be available for the team's upcoming Bundesliga match against Augsburg on Wednesday, after successfully recovering from a knee injury.

The 25-year-old Thuram picked up the injury in the friendly against FC St. Pauli on 14 January.

Coach Daniel Farke announced at a press conference that Thuram has returned to training and has made a good impression, stating: "If nothing more happens in the next 24 hours, he will probably be there in Augsburg."

Thuram has been a vital player for the team, scoring 10 goals in 15 Bundesliga matches this season.

The return of Thuram will be a boost for Gladbach as they look to bounce back from their recent 2-3 defeat against Bayer Leverkusen.
