Orlando Pirates are in a favourable position to secure second place in the league, which would earn them a spot in next season's CAF Champions League.
The Buccaneers, who last participated in the Champions League four years ago but were eliminated in the preliminary round by Zambia's Green Eagles, currently share 51 points with SuperSport United.
However, Pirates hold a crucial advantage of a two-goal difference, which could prove decisive in the final standings.
Jose Riveiro's team enters the upcoming match against AmaZulu with confidence, as they remain undefeated in their last 10 league and cup games.
For AmaZulu, the match holds little significance as they are already safe from relegation.
Furthermore, as they have no chance of reaching the top eight, they may lack the motivation and competitive drive to cause an upset.
The odds strongly favour a victory for the Soweto giants, considering their unbeaten streak against AmaZulu, which dates back to August 2013 when Roger de Sa's side suffered a 1-0 defeat at home in their first league encounter of that season.
The Sea Robbers have since emerged victorious in nine matches and secured eight draws in their subsequent 17 league and cup meetings with AmaZulu.
