Tinkler, who was sacked by Cape Town City in January, has bounced back to replace Lehlohonolo Seema at Babina Noko and found them in the top four of the Betway Premiership.
Since his arrival, Tinkler has been in charge of two league matches – winning one and losing the other.
The coach outlines his plans for Sekhukhune.
"I think there's a lot of talent and there's a lot of experience in this team, players who've played at the highest level at big clubs. So, the talent is definitely not the issue, now it's just about building on what they've achieved so far and then obviously adding certain elements that I think we need to bring into our game to make sure that we stay strong and build a credible season, not only this season but moving forward," Tinkler said.
Prior to the FIFA international break, Sekhukhune suffered a 2-1 defeat at home against Stellenbosch FC in the league.
Tinkler believes he has a better idea of what to improve on.
"No, there's still quite a bit that I have to do in terms of the playing style that I want, it was a little bit better in terms of our possession and our build up but in the final third, I don't think there was enough creativity,” the coach added.
“I don't think there was enough penetration so those are certain areas that we need to work on. Then obviously the mistakes, the ability to keep the ball, making the right decisions."
Tinkler has roped in Marc van Heerden as one of his two assistants, the other being Paulus Masehe who was already at the club.
The coach elaborated on his decision to bring Van Heerden along.
"Marc is somebody that I've worked with obviously, he also now is qualified, he's got his UEFA B license. He knows my playing philosophy and my style and what I want and I think that's very, very important,” he explained.
“Paulus obviously will learn and he's someone I know from his playing days. So, I think it's always important to have people around you that understand the way you think as a coach and the way you want to play as a coach."
