The KwaZulu-Natal outfit went down 3-2 in a thrilling contest against the Blue Diamonds at UJ Soweto Stadium, showing their promotion was fully deserved.
Mvila feels, considering their good performance, this is exactly how they wanted to introduce themselves in the elite women's league.
"It was a good game. We had a good game plan and we executed it quite well. Despite the defeat, I think JVW felt our presence and saw us respond well against them," Mvila told SABC Sport.
"Now they know who Ezemvelo is and this is exactly how we wanted to introduce ourselves in the league."
Mvila contributed with a maiden goal for Ezemvelo to cancel out JVW’s 1-0 lead in the first half, and says she is happy to have registered her first goal in the league.
"I saw that we were trailing and needed a confidence booster, which saw myself push to score that goal. It is good to be in the score-sheet for our first match in the league and I aim to have a positive contribution going forward," she added.
The 16-year-old, who was signed from the popular regional club Mamelodi Seven Stars, says it is an honour to secure a move from the regional league straight to playing in the Super League.
"I am grateful to the chairlady at the club for trusting me. I didn’t play in the Sasol League, she gave me the opportunity to go straight into the elite league. For me it is an honour and I don’t take it for granted," she concluded.
Next up for the newcomers is a match against University of Johannesburg Ladies on Saturday.
