According to reports from RMC, The Athletic, and transfer experts Fabrizio Romano and Sacha Tavolieri, an agreement was reached on Thursday, with the transfer fee set between 70 and 80 million euros, including bonuses.
Marmoush, who has been in scintillating form for Frankfurt this season, is expected to miss the upcoming match against Borussia Dortmund on Friday, as his move to Manchester City seems all but confirmed.
His departure marks a significant change for Frankfurt, who will need to adapt without one of their key players.
In related news, Eintracht Frankfurt has also announced that Norwegian forward Jens Petter Hauge has made a permanent move to FK Bodo/Glimt. Hauge, who spent the majority of 2024 on loan with the Norwegian club, has impressed enough to earn a full-time spot.
Markus Krosche, Eintracht's board member for sport, explained the decision, saying, "Jens Petter Hauge has come on well back in his home country, and at the same time, we realized that we would not be able to guarantee him the kind of playing time that he got last year.
"Jens Petter made a lot of friends during his time in Frankfurt, and as soon as we could come to an agreement with Bodø, it was clear to us that we would not be standing in the playerâs way. We wish him every success for the future."
Hauge's contribution to Frankfurt included 55 appearances, three goals, and five assists, leaving a mark on the Bundesliga side before his return to Norway.
As Manchester City look to bolster their squad mid-season, the addition of Marmoush could provide the firepower needed to challenge for honours, while Frankfurt will now look to the transfer market or within their ranks to fill the void left by these departures
