On August 10, 2022, Galaxy secured a 1-0 victory over Sundowns, thanks to a 34th-minute goal from Lefa Hlongwane, despite being the underdogs.
In a recent interview with the media, coach Ramovic acknowledged that it was a difficult task to defeat Sundowns previously, but he hopes to repeat that upset on Tuesday at Mbombela Stadium.
"It was not easy to beat them, but it's not easy to beat any of the other teams in the league. Every team in this league is challenging to play against," Ramovic said.
"However, I believe we have a quality team and several players who will soon be in the national team. If you take a look at the league standings, you'll see that we're close to getting back into the top eight," he added.
Galaxy's recent league performance has been lackluster, with no wins in their last four matches, consisting of three draws and one loss, and they currently sit in 12th position in the league standings.
On the other hand, Sundowns continue to dominate the league, with a 16-point lead over second-placed Richards Bay FC.
Sundowns also set a new record by winning their 12th league match in a row on Saturday, by beating Kaizer Chiefs 1-0.
