The Banyana Banyana goalminder says the KwaZulu Natal outfit is making good progress after a poor start to the 2024 Hollywoodbets Super League season where they failed to get a win in the first six matches of the current campaign, leaving them in the bottom half of the table. They last tasted defeat in April and have won their five previous fixtures.
“We have to be consistent with the clean sheets as well but otherwise I am happy with the win. I think starting from the preparation it was coming slowly but now we are getting there, we have introduced new players and they are getting used to the system. It is good to get step by step to what we want to achieve, it is a big step,'' said Moletsane.
With the newfound confidence, Moletsane says they are still on track with their goal which is to better their fifth finish from last season. After a staggering start, they are currently occupying the same spot on the log standings following their latest 5-0 victory over bottom of the table Thunderbirds Ladies on Saturday.
''It is still early but we have a goal, and we still have to achieve it. We will see game by game where it puts us, we don't have to put ourselves under pressure,'' added Moletsane.
On the Banyana Banyana front, Moletsane has been the back-up goalkeeper to both Kaylin Swart and Andile Dlamini for long periods, but recently got the nod after Swart suffered an injury in the 2-0 win over Senegal in a friendly match. Moletsane says she has to maintain consistency.
