Harry Kane honoured with Gerd Muller Trophy in Paris

England's Harry Kane received the Gerd Muller Trophy at the Ballon d'Or ceremony in Paris, acknowledging his phenomenal goal-scoring season with Bayern Munich.

Kane shared the honour with Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappe, despite the latter's absence from the event due to Real Madrid's decision to skip the ceremony.

Reflecting on his move to Bayern Munich, Kane described it as a "new chapter," saying, "Going to Germany, taking my family with me was a new experience, I didn't know what to expect."

Kane credited his teammates for his strong start, explaining, "I went along for the ride, and we had a good season."

The English striker scored an impressive 44 goals in 45 matches, with 36 goals in the Bundesliga and eight in the Champions League.

When asked about his success, Kane attributed it to "hard work, self-belief," adding, "As a striker, you have to believe. No matter how old you are, you have to keep pushing the limits."

Kane also expressed a desire to continue improving, working on skills like left and right-foot finishing.

While still adapting to life in Germany, he admitted with a laugh, "I'm doing two lessons a week. Hopefully, I am here for many years and can talk a little bit of German."

With his move paying off, Kane's performance in Germany has clearly set the stage for a memorable chapter in his career.
