The Glamour Boys suffered a second successive Betway Premiership defeat in under two weeks when they narrowly lost 1-0 to log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.
A visibly irritated Nabi pleaded for time, arguing Chiefs had put up a satisfactory performance against a team on their way to their eight title in a row.
The Chiefs coach then revealed he was a wanted man on the continent but was choosing to remain at Naturena despite growing interest for his service.
"Me is not problem, I'm not here for the money because you know there's too much talk in the media about my salary and I promise you every day I have proposition in big clubs with three times more salary than I receive here,” Nabi said.
“I have a mission here with Kaizer Chiefs, I have a mission, I'm not here for the money and I love this club. I am strong, I don't lose my confidence quickly like that because my history is big."
It wasn’t clear who Nabi was referring to, but the Tunisian suggested a fellow coach had recently been in the media labelling his tenure at Chiefs a failure.
Amakhosi assistant coach Cedric Kaze helped with the translation.
"I'm gonna sacrifice everything to go back to where Kaizer Chiefs belongs and the criticism is part of the job but sometimes when you see your colleagues, coaches, criticize you, that' a lack of respect,” the coach added.
“Especially when you are in a bad situation, that's a lack of respect, that's what impacted me, not the rest but being criticized by your own colleague who can be in your own shoes or who has been in your own shoes.
“But I do believe and I have a strong formation and strong experience, I know what I'm doing and I will get it right."
