Hlatshwayo began the previous season in Limpopo with Marumo Gallants before moving to Durban to join Abafana Besithende.
He has been one of the most consistent and clinical players for Arrows which has seen other teams notice him.
The defender has since been linked with a move to Orlando Pirates, speaking to SABC Sport on Wednesday as they prepare for their DStv Premiership opener against Moroka Swallows, Hlatshwayo says the link will motivate him to work harder.
"As much as I do not want to comment about the Orlando Pirates link because they have not spoken to me or the club. It motivates me to keep on working hard, it also makes me want to do well for Arrows. I want to make sure I make the team happy because they treat me well," Hlatshwayo told SABC Sport.
With the season beginning on Saturday for Arrows at Hammersdale (Mpumalanga Stadium), Hlatshwayo sets his own target for the campaign.
"My target is to play more games, get the opportunity to play in the national team, and finish in the top five."
