Sundowns have won all their matches since returning from The Women’s Cup in the USA last month, and currently hold a healthy gap over second-placed University of Western Cape Ladies, who have three matches in hand.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Tshabalala says the team’s domestic success is down to the technical team’s tactical intelligence and the team’s strong mentality.
"Just looking at the 14-point gap between ourselves and UWC, one would say it reflects the consistency and depth that the team has, as well as the well-executed strategy of the technical team and players from the beginning of the season," said Tshabalala.
"If you recall, we divided our targets into three, so we knew where to collect points and which games would be tougher for us in terms of us collecting maximum points and scoring more goals.
"What makes it special is the plan of the tactical intelligence from the technical team, and the collective effort of the players – the attributes to this domain shows that the team has a strong mentality and the tactical adaptability of the players and the technical team."
Sundown’s next fixture is against already-relegated Thunderbirds Ladies, but the coach insists they will not take that match lightly as they look to maintain their winning momentum.
"We understand, though they are already relegated, it's not going to be an easy game for us – we're going to approach it like any other game, and our objective will be to maintain the momentum and fine tune some of the aspects of our game ahead of the next game.
"We've still got big games coming up – against University of Pretoria, Tshwane University of Technology, University of the Western Cape, so this game will give us an opportunity to fine tune those aspects of our game before the CAF Women's Champions League."
