Jude Bellingham stole the spotlight with a stunning performance, delivering an assist and scoring the late winner despite earlier missing a penalty.
The match at Mestalla proved a rollercoaster for the visitors. Valencia, rejuvenated under manager Carlos Corberan, started strongly, capitalising on Real Madrid's sluggish opening.
Javi Guerra fired the hosts ahead after relentless pressure, converting on the rebound following a fine save by Thibaut Courtois.
Valencia's tactical fluidity, with Thierry Correia pushing forward and Dimitri Foulquier joining the attack, caused Real Madrid significant problems in the first half.
Real Madrid struggled to find rhythm, with manager Carlo Ancelotti visibly frustrated on the sidelines. "We have spoken about our poor starts before, but today we lacked intensity again," Ancelotti said.
Despite their sluggishness, Real Madrid had opportunities, with Vinicius Junior denied by an excellent save from Giorgi Mamardashvili.
Bellingham's influence grew in the second half. The English midfielder won a penalty after a clumsy challenge on Kylian Mbappe, but his attempt struck the post.
Undeterred, Bellingham remained pivotal, threading a perfect pass to Luka Modric, who equalised with a calm finish.
Controversy marred the match when Vinicius Junior was sent off following a clash with Mamardashvili.
Despite being a man down, Real Madrid pushed forward. In the dying moments, a defensive error gifted Bellingham the ball, and he coolly slotted past Mamardashvili to secure the victory.
Bellingham's heroics earned widespread praise. "Jude is incredible," Modric said after the match. "Even when things don't go his way, he finds a way to lead us to victory."
Real Madrid's resilience and Bellingham's brilliance keep them in command of the La Liga title race, with every point proving crucial in the battle for supremacy.
