Jude Bellingham's return brings hope amidst Real Madrid injury crisis

Jude Bellingham is bringing a much-needed boost to Carlo Ancelotti's side as Real Madrid wrestle with a spate of injuries.

The English midfielder, who has been sidelined with a muscle injury, is showing promising signs of recovery and is expected to rejoin the squad for training next week.

If all goes well, he could make his return in Real Madrid's upcoming match against Real Sociedad.

Currently, Madrid are on a short break and will not resume training until Tuesday evening. However, the injured players are not taking a break from their recovery.

Bellingham, who has been out for two weeks, is pushing hard to meet his return target and be available for Ancelotti.

The team have been severely affected by injuries, and Bellingham's presence would be a significant boost as he aims to make up for missing the last three matches against Valladolid, Las Palmas, and Real Betis.

Bellingham sustained an injury to the flexor digitorum longus muscle in his right leg on August 23 during a training session before the match against Valladolid.

Since then, the injury crisis has worsened, with eight players currently struggling with fitness issues: Eduardo Camavinga, David Alaba, and Dani Ceballos, are out long-term. Eder Militao is ruled out for the game at Anoeta against Sociedad on 14 September and will undergo further tests upon returning to Madrid, while Bellingham, Ferland Mendy and Aurelien Tchouameni are doubts for the trip to San Sebastian, although their participation is still anticipated.

Adding to the woes, it was announced on Friday that youth player Jacobo Ramon, who had been training with the first team and was expected to play for Castilla during the international break, is also sidelined.
