The 49-year-old is forging ahead with plans of re-building the club using multiple youth academy graduates, warning that it could take longer than expected.
Amakhosi host defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns in the pick of the weekend’s DStv Premiership action at FNB Stadium on Saturday, with a live broadcast on SABC 1 from 19:00.
After losing back-to-back league matches to Sekhukhune United (1-1) and AmaZulu (4-0), Zwane is as cool as a cucumber as he pleads for patience from the Amakhosi faithful to turn things around.
"To be quite honest, I'm not worried because we have a plan as a club – a plan that needs to be executed, and if you look back, for how many years have we been trying to hit the ground running? Did it work for the club? It did not," said Zwane.
"Whether you like it or not, at the end of the day, we have to do something. There are many other teams that we can make an example of – in Europe, you go to Arsenal right now, why are they doing well?
"Because they had so much patience and belief in whoever they've put in there, and also give him the opportunity and space to try and work things out, and you can see the results for yourself.
"I don't want to compare and I'm not saying we can do exactly what Arsenal is doing, but I'm just making an example that, if we know what we are doing, if we have a plan and want to execute the plan, obviously we need time."
