Mudau was part of the bronze-medal winning national team side at AFCON earlier this month, but has not featured for The Brazilians since returning from the tournament after the club’s medics ruled him out for nearly two months.
Speaking to SABC Sport, the right back understands Mokwena’s frustrations.
''He also wants to win as a coach, that's what he told me - that he wants to win and can't be having injuries, but I think when you play football these things will happen,'' said Mudau.
Mudau had been linked with overseas interest prior to the AFCON, which gained momentum on the back of Bafana’s impressive display.
The 28 year-old suggests this remains only speculation having recently signed a new contract at Sundowns following his Defender of the Season accolade.
''I'm happy that I'm getting alright and I'm being treated well. Yes, It's something I didn't expect - people are talking,'' added Mudau.
The former Black Leopards defender prefers to focus on his recovery and commitment to Sundowns instead of reports that English Premier League outfit Burnley, who signed striker Lyle Foster for a whopping R131-million last year, are after his services.
''That's what I want to do, obviously I'm happy where I am but I do have a desire to be playing in every game but I'm injured. It's football you know,'' he concluded.
Even in his absence, Mudau is confident his teammates can defend their DStv Premierships title as well as attempt to finally add another CAF Champions League trophy having qualified for the knockout phase again this season.
