Lebohang Ramalepe gets a nod from her peers at the 2024 HWBSL Awards

Ramalepe displayed top performance throughout the 2024 season to help her team secure its fifth consecutive league title.

Speaking to SABC Sport, Ramalepe also thanks her teammates and the technical team for surviving what she believes was a challenging season.

"I am so happy that I got this award, it really shows that I pushed myself throughout the season. It was not easy but I think overall all thanks to my teammates and the coaches that I've worked with. It wasn't an easy journey but I'm grateful for the opportunity," Ramalepe said.

Ramalepe further expressed gratitude to Sundowns fans, stating that they motivate her to want to achieve more.

"Sundowns fans please continue to support us in stadiums when we have games. I think we wouldn't be able to achieve what we are achieving without you guys," she added.

Nkosi also praised Ramalepe and the top goal scorer of the season Boitumelo Rabale.

"I am so proud of the players that received the awards likes of Ramalepe and Boitumelo Rabale, even coach Jerry [Tshabalala]. I'm so proud of them, they deserve these things because of their hard work."
