The 26-year-old Argentinian, who joined the Reds from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer of 2023, has faced United three times already, but all of those encounters have been away from home.
Speaking from the AXA Training Centre on Friday, Mac Allister shared his excitement for the upcoming match.
"Since I arrived at the club, I understood the rivalry between both clubs. I love playing these kind of games," said Mac Allister, as quoted by the official Liverpool website.
"Hopefully it's going to be a nice one for us. We are working really hard to play a good game.
"It's the first time I will play Man United at Anfield, so it's going to be a nice game and hopefully we can get the win."
Mac Allister was sidelined for last season's goalless draw against Manchester United at Anfield, missing the match due to a knee injury.
Now, fully fit, he is determined to help his team build on their strong form leading into the fixture.
The midfielder's inclusion in this season's Liverpool-Manchester United clash will add a fresh dynamic, with his vision and technical skill proving crucial in Liverpool's midfield.
