Ribeiro was speaking on Radio 2000’s Game On Sport show with Thabiso Mosia, where he was a guest last night.
The Brazilian-born player says this just at a time when there’s a dispute around Mokoena’s contract renewal negotiations and overseas teams’ interest in his services but with Sundowns believed to be pricing him out of the market. Ribeiro believes that Mokoena’s,27, is too good for the local standards.
"Actually, Tebza is one of the players, it's surprises me with all the attributes and the qualities he has, strong physical presence and the ability to score outside the box, shoots and also runs a lot. So, he's got all the qualities that you can get from a midfielder. It still surprises me that he's my teammate in South Africa because players of that quality, you probably see them in top clubs in Europe," Ribeiro said.
Ribeiro’s performances have also attracted a number of teams in Europe, and some of the sides have also been following in the CAF Champions League, where he scored three goals and provided an assist in 12 matches. But for now, he says he’s focused on finishing the season with the club.
"I asking about him being focused in Sundowns or maybe being actually disturbed by other offers but he said he's gonna put every focus he has on the last two games or the last games of the league and also to focus on the final, that's where his mind is at but God decides or takes the final decision. But his mind and everything is towards Sundowns."
