Man Utd and Tottenham battle for PSG forward Randal Kolo Muani

Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani finds himself at the centre of an intense transfer battle as Manchester United and Tottenham vie for his signature.

Since his 95 million euro move to PSG in September 2023, the former Eintracht Frankfurt star has struggled to replicate his Bundesliga form, managing only two starts in 14 appearances.

With two goals and one assist this season, PSG are reportedly looking to offload the French international.

Manchester United have taken a proactive approach, contacting Kolo Muani's management team with the aim of securing him on loan with an option-to-buy clause.

Journalist Florian Plettenberg reports that United are doing "everything possible" to finalise the deal, seeing Kolo Muani as a potential replacement for Marcus Rashford, who is linked with an exit.

The forward is also viewed as competition for Rasmus Hojlund in the No. 9 role, amidst speculation surrounding Joshua Zirkzee's future at the club.

Tottenham, meanwhile, are equally determined. Manager Ange Postecoglou is keen to add depth to his attacking options, particularly as Dominic Solanke has shouldered a heavy workload during the team's injury crisis.

Kolo Muani's versatility, allowing him to play centrally or out wide, appeals to Postecoglou's tactical plans. Reports suggest Spurs might be further along in their bid than United.
