Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim on free-scoring Antony's rejuvenation at Real Betis

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has opened up on why he thinks Brazilian winger Antony has enjoyed such rapid success at Real Betis since joining the La Liga outfit on loan.

After two challenging years at Old Trafford, the club decided it was best for Antony to move on in January, and he quickly found his form in Spain.

The Brazilian winger made an immediate impact after joining Betis late in the month. He earned the Man of the Match award on his debut and scored on his second outing. His latest performance in the Europa League saw him score a stunning goal, further solidifying his place as a fan favorite.

With three matches under his belt, Antony is already being hailed as a star in Spain, with Betis fans praising him on social media. He expressed his gratitude towards the fans, who have been incredibly supportive of him since his arrival.

Antony is not the only player to have revitalized their career after leaving United, and coach Amorim was recently asked about this phenomenon. In a press conference ahead of their game against Tottenham, Amorim explained that high-pressure environments like United's can affect players, especially those who are young and talented. He emphasized the importance of a strong team structure, which, when present, allows individual players to thrive more easily.

"I don't know," the head coach explained. "Sometimes it's like that, it can happen with any club. This club has a lot of pressure, and you have to have a base of a team to put younger and talented players that came from abroad to help them.

"If you are playing better as a team, and you have a strong core like it's supposed to be at this club, it will be more easy for these kind of players to play football."

Giovani Lo Celso also praised Antony's influence on Betis, recognizing how his goals have been a game-changer for a team that had been struggling. To United fans, the player's transformation has been nothing short of surprising, especially considering his lackluster performances during his final months at the club.
