A well-executed attack on the right flank, orchestrated by Patrick Maswanganyi, paved the way for Lepasa to expertly position himself and capitalise, opening the scoring for Orlando Pirates.
As the first half progressed, Sekhukhune United mounted their own offensive moves, with Nkosinathi Sibisi executing a crucial interception within the Pirates' penalty area in the 38th minute.
The defensive maneuvre thwarted a potential equaliser from Sekhukhune, maintaining Orlando Pirates' lead.
The second half witnessed an intensified pace, as Orlando Pirates continued to dominate. In the 56th minute, Thabang Monare initiated a brilliant counter-attack, setting up Neo Saleng.
Although Saleng's strike found the upright, Lepasa was quick to react, converting the rebound and increasing the lead to two goals.
Barely three minutes later, the scoreboard reflected an even more commanding scoreline. Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo orchestrated a move from the midfield that culminated in a well-placed finish, extending Orlando Pirates' lead to an impressive three goals.
The 62nd minute showcased Pirates' offensive proficiency once again. Saleng capitalised on the team's cohesive play, netting the ball on his second attempt from close range, establishing a four-goal lead.
As the match entered its closing stages, a penalty was awarded to Orlando Pirates in the 78th minute following a foul on Deon Hotto. However, Lepasa's spot-kick veered wide, preventing the fifth goal momentarily.
Undeterred, Lepasa redeemed himself in the 87th minute by securing a remarkable hat-trick. A skillful execution of a fantastic pass from Hotto allowed Lepasa to find the back of the net from close range, sealing Orlando Pirates' emphatic 5-0 triumph.
