Nabi, who arrived at Chiefs in July, has been very vocal about the need to address the lack of quality in his squad.
In their last game against TS Galaxy, he pleaded live on national television, for the club to have a Christmas present of quality players for him and the fans.
Nabi says experienced players, who are ready to deliver are their main targets.
''The most important ones will be how we do our mid-season, as well as the big transfer window in June. The next two windows will be important in terms of bringing players who are experienced and tactically ready for the level required at Kaizer Chiefs, to help speed up the process to get to where we want to be,'' said Nabi.
Chiefs has been under fire from its football fans for not going all out in the market in signing quality players for a longer period now.
When Nabi arrived, it was already too late to bid for some quality talent, as it was closer to the new season.
But now, they have had enough time to prepare, scout and monitor talent both locally and outside.
Nabi says it will take him a minimum of three windows, to make Chiefs have a very competitive squad.
''I think you need a minimum of three windows to change a team, that is normal, people who understand football know that's the realistic approach,'' added Nabi.
It’s been a stuttering start for Chiefs this season, they are currently ninth on the log in the Betway Premiership, 12 points behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, and nine points behind second placed Orlando Pirates, who also have a game in hand.
Already, it looks like a CAF Champions League spot could be mission impossible for them this season.
But Nabi says he’s seeing some progress.
''Honestly, before the game. I think we are in the right direction, after five months with this team, even though we have lost so many points recklessly. But I still think we're headed in a good direction,'' he expressed.
Chiefs had a promising start winning three of their first four matches, but it’s been a challenging period since then, winning only one game in the next seven matches.
In that period, they were also booted out of the Carling Knockout, losing 4-0 to Mamelodi Sundowns and they have the worst defensive record of 13 goals conceded in the league.
But Nabi says he's not going to change the brand of football they are playing because they are chasing the results.
Chiefs is now entering its 10th year since they last won some silverware and Nabi says he’s got the full support of the club’s board and management and is not bothered by the critics, as they continue to work towards restoring the glory days at the club.
