Chiefs have scored six goals in the first three matches of the season but with the number of chances that they have been creating it could’ve been more.
The seven signings that they’ve made this season mainly addressed the defensive profile of the team and not the attack.
Nabi says they are now scouting for talent they will be adding in the next window.
"For myself, I think look now, in October we don't play then we have November and December. Then in January, the window opens. I need to scout for the quality that I need," Nabi said.
Top clubs in Africa scout critical positions like strikers from the teams playing in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup group stages or from outside the continent.
Chiefs have been relying only on Ranga Chivaviro, Ashley du Preez and Christian Saile, players who don’t have a good striker rate ratio, Nabi shares the difficulty of scouting for the best talent on the continent.
"I think my strikers today and last game, they scored. I agree with you, the market in Africa is very, very short, you have maybe three, four, or five good players but all the clubs in Africa take them like Esperance, Al Ahly, Zamalek. The market in Africa is not positive in this moment," he added.
Chiefs only have seven Betway Premiership matches before the next transfer window, this will also add to the Carling Knockout tournament.
Nabi feels that he’s got enough time to scout for more good talent between now and then but will not waste the budget Chiefs have allocated for him.
"And thank you to the owners and committee for giving me an open budget for that but I don't wanna waste my money during the window."
