The vocal and colourful former Royal AM chief executive has himself made a return to football following his appointment by the relegated side, who have also roped in former Richards Bay coach Pitso Dladla as their new mentor.
Mnisi says his mandate is clear.
"It is often said that, 'One man's poison is another man's meat' – I'm here today as a chosen one, with the sole responsibility of delivering the team back in the premier division," declared Mnisi.
"That's the mandate that I got from [Gallants], and I like challenges. I don't just go to a team, I want challenges, that's what I believe in.
"My belief has always been, 'It is not how you start but how you will finish.' I'm here not to make friends – that I need to make very, very clear.
"The players, technical staff, support staff, myself, the management, as well as the supporters of the team must all roll up our sleeves for this team to be successful and achieve our objective.
"We all have one common goal, which is to take the team to the elite league, so all of us know and understand our duties and responsibilities. Everyone will be given the best support in this regard.
"Remember, you'll never let a good man down, and I'm here to contribute positively in all respects, and assist with my experience and expertise."
Chairman Abram Sello also confirmed new signings – mostly made up of players from the lower division, having sold the bulk of the high-profile stars at the end of the 2022/23 season.
Mnisi says he has already informed Sello to consider their promotion a formality.
"Usually when I start in a team, I always tell the people what it going to happen. We are going to be counted amongst the teams... We are going to the premier league, I'm just letting you know," declared Mnisi.
"We are going to the premier league [DStv Premiership]. This team belongs in the premier league, they played in Africa, you can see with the number of players that have got into the PSL, they had good players.
"It was unfortunate that they got relegated because there had to be a team that had to be relegated. If you look at Lesiba Nku [at Mamelodi Sundowns], all of them – they are all in big teams now."
