Norway team-mate hails Arsenal's Martin Odegaard as one of the 'world's best'

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has once again shown why he's regarded as one of the world's best footballers, earning high praise from his fellow Norwegians.

The Norwegian midfielder provided three assists in his side's impressive 4-2 win over Israel in a World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.

Odegaard set up goals for David Moller Wolfe, Alexander Sorloth, and Erling Haaland, showcasing his vision and creativity on the ball.

The victory extends Norway's unbeaten run in the qualifiers, having previously demolished Moldova 5-0 on Saturday.

Along with those scorers, Kristoffer Ajer also found the net for Norway. Israel responded with goals from Mohammed Abu Fani and Dor Turgeman but couldn't prevent the defeat.

"He is fantastic," Atletico Madrid striker Sorloth told Norwegian outlet VG.

"Three assists speak for themselves and he is fantastic to play with on the right side."

Another Norway team-mate Andreas Schjelderup was also full of praise for Odegaard, adding: "He is one of the world's best footballers. The way he moves and plays football, you just have to enjoy it."

Arsenal fans will be buoyed by Odegaard's sparkling form ahead of the club's much-anticipated Champions League quarter-final tie with his former team, Real Madrid.

The Gunners, yet to lift the prestigious trophy, are seen as strong contenders, especially with Odegaard playing a pivotal role in midfield.
