Nottingham Forest's Hudson-Odoi: We must 'learn' from Newcastle first-half nightmare for Arsenal

'Learn from the first half' in the 4-3 defeat to Newcastle 'and rectify it against Arsenal' is the message from Callum Hudson-Odoi as attentions turns to Nottingham Forest's visit of the Gunners on Wednesday night.

The Forest winger marked his return to the starting XI with a goal on six minutes, before Nuno's side ultimately fell to a 4-3 defeat at St James' Park.

The Reds are back in Premier League action on Wednesday when they welcome the Gunners to NG2, providing Nuno's team with the opportunity to return to winning ways.

Hudson-Odoi accepted lessons need to be learnt from the first half on Tyneside, but the Reds will use the clash with the Gunners to rectify the wrongs against Newcastle.

"We have to learn from the first half, we can't have something like that again. We're going to make sure we rectify that in the days coming up to the next game on Wednesday," said the former Chelsea man.

"We have another 12 games of the season left so we just have to put everything right on Wednesday and keep pushing until the end of the season.

"There's still a lot of games left; we have the FA Cup as well.

"We'll reflect on this properly, look at ourselves, individual mistakes and things we did wrong as a team and look to rectify everything and have a good rest of the season.

"We're in a good position but at the same time we can't be too comfortable. We lost against Newcastle, but we have to go again and push ourselves even harder in every game we play for the rest of the season."
