Pirates have won two out of their last five league matches, losing once and playing a draw twice.
Riveiro speaking to the media on Saturday in Umlazi did not want to get into details on dropping points and wanted to focus on the upcoming league games.
"We dropped two points today [Saturday], we move to the next one. We have to play for 15 points until the break in the Christmas that could be a good moment to analyse where we are and why. If the question is, are we dropping more points than we would like, I think you can answer the question yourself," Riveiro said.
Richards Bay has conceded 15 times in 13 league games this season and the Spaniard admitted it was not expected for them to struggle against the KwaZulu Natal side but he feels they are unlucky most times.
"Well 0-0 again, obviously not the result that we were expecting to collect here today. Not a good beginning of the game. Richards Bay started the game much better than us, and much more connected,” Riveiro said.
“We just wasted the first 20 [minutes] or more in the first half not playing the way we wanted. We started to control the game better in the latest stages of the first half and in the second half I think we dominated fully in the game.
“We were close to scoring in several chances. We are not really the luckiest team in the world in the last meters and that type of game that sometimes you even lose in one transition or one mistake, fortunately, it didn't happen for us today [Saturday]. We can take one point which is not what we wanted but we move to the next one."
