Zakhele Lepasa had come off the bench to net the winner in the first round tie and was rewarded with a start this time around and he didn't disappoint, with a brace of goals.
The striker opened his account with 25 minutes on the clock before scoring again on 63 minutes after Patrick Maswanganyi had weighed in with his goal on 58 minutes.
The opening exchanges of the tie at the Orlando Stadium had been an even affair with neither side really threatening their opponents' goal.
But it was Bucs who looked the more comfortable side and after a few half-chances it was Lepasa with the quality as he headed home with 25 minutes on the clock.
Djabal responded well and put pressure on the home defence but Bucs held firm as Lepasa remained a constant threat up front.
Both sides were competitive after the break, while Pirates began to control more of the play but still without a clear path for a second goal.
Katlego Otladisa fired into a cluth of bodies after finding space for a shot, but Maswanganyi had no such problems as he powered home with an excellent long-range effort.
From then on in there was always only going to be one winner, and Lepasa completed his brace with a calmly poked shot past the away stopper and into the back of the net.
Pirates had chances to extend their lead but substitute Deon Hotto put a late header wide as Ndabayithetwa Ndlondlo scooped his effort.
But the Buccaneers march onto the next round after a convincing performance.
