Midfielder Thembinkosi Lorch and defender Tapelo Xoki both missed the Buccaneers 2-1 league win against Cape Town City, with Lorch's injury causing the biggest concern. He is being monitored for a knock to his hip and is currently a doubtful starter for their next game.
Xoki, on the other hand, is likely to be fit for selection ahead of their upcoming league game away to TS Galaxy on Sunday, after recovering from a head injury.
Four more first-team players have been discharged from the injury list and are back in full training with their teammates. Right-backs Bandile Shandu and Craig Martin have both recently resumed full training, along with goalkeeper Richard Ofori and striker Bienvenu Eva Nga, providing a boost to the squads depth in defence.
Vincent Pule and striker Ndumiso Mabena are expected to return to full training during the course of the week after recovering from knee injuries, while midfielder Goodman Mosele has started light training but remains under rehab. Defender Olisa Ndah is still side-lined with a knee injury.
Pirates, who are currently placed third in the DStv Premiership standings, have an important fixture against TS Galaxy on Sunday afternoon. The outcome of the match could see the team jump up to second place in the standings.
