The Bafana Bafana international joined the Buccaneers two years ago from Baroka, the club snubbing offers from Europe to agree a transfer to their DStv Premiership rivals at the time.
Mosele made an impressive 31 appearances for Pirates in his debut season with the Soweto giants, but that number reduced by half under Jose Riveiro as the player not only struggled with game time, but personal issues too.
In an attempt to get his career back on track with regular minutes, the midfielder is set to be loaned out and Chippa United are the likely destination – this move will depend on the agreement between the two sides.
The public broadcaster understands there has been discussions between Pirates and the Chilli Boys to that effect, although nothing has been made formal as yet, which does leave the door open for another potential suitor.
Pirates have confirmed their two experienced midfielders in Thabang Monare and Ben Motshwari, the duo who were ahead of Mosele in the pecking order towards the end of last season, have been offered contract extensions.
The Buccaneers also have Miguel Timm and Makhehleni Makhaula, making competition stiff for Mosele, although their schedule now includes the CAF Champions League this season.
Mosele will be hoping to bounce back and raise his hand for a place in the Bafana set up ahead of next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast – a loan move could help him catch coach Hugo Broos’ attention once again.
