Rasebotja was promoted from the SuperSport United academy at the start of the 2020/21 season, under then coach Kaitano Tembo, and payed a bit-part role at the Tshwane side.
However, with the 23-year-old due to become a free agent at the end of this month, Pirates have moved swiftly to rope him in to bolster coach Jose Riveiro's squad.
The Nedbank Cup champions are already looking to make Thalente Mbatha's loan switch from Matsatsantsa permanent, and will now have another talent from one of the Premier Soccer League's premier development setups on their books.
Rasebotja made a total 16 appearances under Hunt this term – most of which came in their CAF Confederation Cup run, which ended at the group stages.
He also managed his maiden goal in the club's 2-1 victory over Al-Hilal Benghazi in December last year, and will now be hoping to take his continental experience to The Buccaneers, who will be hoping to progress in the CAF Champions League next season.
