The Red Devils extended their CAF Champions League unbeaten streak to 20 matches, showcasing a stellar defensive record with 16 clean sheets and just three goals conceded.
They maintained dominance over ES Tunis, with four wins and one draw in their last five encounters.
Al Ahly entered the second leg confidently, having secured a 0-0 draw away in the first leg.
Captain Rami Rabia scored just four minutes into the match, initially credited to Rabia, but later ruled an own goal by Roger Aholou after a deflection past Tunisian goalkeeper Amenallah Memmiche.
Al Ahly nearly doubled their lead in the 13th minute when Emam Ashour made a surging run, only for the ball to go out for a goal kick.
Tau had multiple opportunities to score, missing from inside the 18-yard box in the 19th and 29th minutes.
ES Tunis struggled to threaten Al Ahly but had a glimmer of hope in the 44th minute when a low cross was expertly cleared by Rabia.
In the final minute of the first half, Tau set up Ashour, but his shot went wide, leaving the hosts with a slim 1-0 lead at halftime.
The visitors showed more intent in the second half but couldn't find the net.
Al Ahly held firm against Tunisian pressure in stoppage time to secure their record 12th CAF Champions League title.
