Pierre Emerick Aubameyang joins Saudi Pro League club Al Qadsiah

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has left French side Marseille to join newly promoted Saudi Pro League club Al Qadsiah on a two-year deal.

The 35-year-old Gabon forward spent just one season at Marseille where he scored 30 goals in 51 appearances.

Aubameyang had joined the French club after struggling in England with Chelsea, where he bagged just three goals in 21 matches following his move from Barcelona.

Al Qadsiah finished top of the Saudi First Division League last season to gain promotion to the top-flight.

They bolstered their squad with Aubameyang and former Real Madrid defender Nacho who has oined on a free transfer.

Aubameyang joins a number of high-profile players playing in Saudi Arabia, which includes Brazil forward Neymar and Ballon d'Or winners Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo.
