The two Real Madrid players are shortlisted in the same category alongside tennis player Coco Gauff; swimmer Qin Haiyang; middle-distance runner Josh Kerr; and FC Barcelona forward Salma Paralluelo.
The winners of the awards, who are selected by an international jury made up of leading figures from the world of sport, will be announced at a ceremony to be held at the Cibeles Palace (Madrid) on 22 April.
Meanwhile, Lionel Messi won the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year award in 2023 and will do battle with Erling Haaland for the gong this time around.
